Blink Eight Times

Good, you’ve found a safe place to stop and read. For the wave that’s flowing through you is becoming more and more powerful. It’s as if it were a deep bass tone ringing out from somewhere, so deep that your ears cannot perceive it, yet every fibre of your body begins to vibrate.

Your surroundings transform once again. But this time you don’t see any green hills, fantastic vehicles, or anything of the kind. What do you see instead? You try describing it to yourself. Words that you would normally use to capture what you’ve seen—words to describe objects, such as fence, street, grass, words that describe spatial positions in relation to yourself, such as above, left, near and far—all appear senseless in this instant. Instead you feel as if you could perceive everything simultaneously—what was, what is, what will be, here and everywhere. But it’s hazy, it trembles, and you think of the bass tone that you felt just now. Is it still there? Yes and no. Now everything, as it appears to you, is music.
Everything, including you, is an expression of the vibration of some fibre, which we will never actually be able to see. But now you see it.

It becomes clear to you that the missing paradigm, the missing theory, the missing revelation for what you are experiencing is music. The music of tiny particles. It’s as if you had a super high-tech microscope and were able to gaze into an electron. Instead of dots, you see ribbons. And while the ribbons vibrate at different frequencies, they are transformed into neutrinos, into quarks, into leptons. In fact, you now see hundreds of subatomic particles, but they are nothing but different vibrations of the same string.
For a brief moment it seems as if you could feel them: the physics—in other words, the harmony that can be written on these strings, the chemistry—in other words, the melody that
can be played on interacting strings, and the symphony the universe plays on these strings. Maybe this is the dimension where you can see the strings? Or the interdimensional transition where you can experience the cosmic music vibrating through hyperspace?

You want to stay here forever in this space of tangible music. And at the same time, you know that it’s not possible, that your life is somewhere else, in the three-dimensional space of the world you came from.

Please close your eyes tightly and imagine the place
where you last listened to live music, or went dancing. Imagine it in precise detail. Where did you sit or stand? What could you see? When you open your eyes again, please read the last sentence on this page.

As you open your eyes, you read the last paragraph of this page. At the same time you hear Anna’s voice: “I’m happy you found your way back. Let’s keep going together, shall we?” You nod.

I don’t know where you are exactly. But I’m with you. Now I’m walking to the covered fountain on the top of that hill. From that point, where the wave got you, I’m going to walk up the asphalt road to the top of the hill. Join me. The cemetery is in front of you, the house with the pointy angles is diagonally behind you, take the street uphill to the right.

I’m heading off now, okay?

Exactly, just walk up there. Up top, at the fountain, I’ll be waiting for you—on page 45.”
